British Toggenburg, British Saanen and British dairy goats are kept and aim to have:
good conformation  with hardy constitution, healthy and true dairy type;
well attached udders, with good shape, neat teats and soft texture;
admirable yields over a long productive life;
correct colour and breed type.

The Guilden Herd has produced
seven full champions and sixteen breed champions.

In the 2009 show season top wins included:
Scottish goat of the Year, male and female (brother and sister),
At the Royal Highland Show,  (Scotland’s premier show), won Best Milker, Goatling and Kid, believed to be the only herd ever to have achieved this.
